In this episode, we pull back the curtain and record a
single take with no editing. It’s a Meandering Star Wars Day Spectacular! We
talk about more Celebration stuff, the new Vanity Fair photos from The Force
Awakens, Anna’s reading of Attack of the Clones, we ask you to submit a joke, and we give names to some of the ruffians from Maz Kanata’s castle.
We also get a voicemail from Star Wars Kidscast’s very own Chris!

In this episode of Reaction Corps, we review and analyze and oldie but a goodie, the Nightsisters arc from season 3 of The Clone Wars. It's a pretty spooky arc with quite a bit of horrible things occurring, and ... well ... witches and Sith. What do you expect, right?

It's a super-special Reaction Corps, as the Children of the Force enthusiastically react to the 2nd teaser trailer for The Force Awakens! This was recorded in the afternoon on Thursday, April 16th, so we were fresh off viewing it and hadn't read any of the other information that's out there now like the fact that the battle of Jakku took place shortly after Endor and that the bad guys are called The First Order and not the Empire, and the good guys are called the Resistance and not the Rebellion.

On episode #4 of Children of the Force, we
lament the fact that we’re not going to Star Wars Celebration this year. But
that’s not all! We talk about the Star Warsy stuff we’ve been up to, including
… well, basically feeling bad about not going to Celebration. But also feeling
happy for everyone who is!
We also discuss the upcoming Journey to the Force Awakens books in detail and freak
out about the possibility of J.J. Abrams and Kathleen Kennedy presenting a
trailer for The Force Awakens at Celebration.
This episode also includes an enthusiastic review of issue #1 of Kanan: The Last Padawan.
In the episode, I mention that there are some panels from this comic up at
starwars.com. Here’s the link for those: http://www.starwars.com/news/kanan-the-last-padawan-1-exclusive-5-page-preview
And of course, a joke is told and questions are asked.
And Liam utters this sentence: “I got real trading cards, not just trading cards on a phone or a device.”

In episode 3 of Children of the Force, we talk about the Star Warsy things we’ve been doing these days. We talk about the Clone Wars Ziro the Hutt arc, which then leads to discussion of the new Ventress/Vos book, Dark Disciple.
In the news, Anna laughs way too loud when hearing that Harrison Ford broke his ankle back in June. And we discuss that incident while talking about Ford’s recent crash landing. We also discuss the new lesbian character in the upcoming novel, Lords of the Sith, and how inclusion is a good thing. We also talk about the author of that book and discuss the essay The Death of the Author (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_of_the_Author) by Roland Barthes and how it can be applied in this situation.
Oh, and Mark Hammil wants you to go to Free Comic Book Day!
